A place for wellness, wonder, and coming home to yourself.
Welcome to The Shop at the Iva Swaine Homestead
Originally built in the 1860s by my ancestors, The Shop has remained in our family ever since. Nestled among ferns, towering trees, and old stone walls, this little building has been lovingly refreshed to reflect the spirit of its time — with vintage-inspired wallpaper, timeless furniture, and a touch of fairy tale charm.
Step inside and you’ll find a cozy, living-room-style gathering space — designed for intimate workshops, soulful conversations, and meaningful connection. It feels like a hidden cottage in the woods, where history whispers through the floorboards and the forest invites you to slow down and stay awhile.
Whether you're here for a wellness workshop, a relaxing gathering, or a seasonal reset, The Shop holds space for intentional living and meaningful moments.
This space has lived many lives.
Built in the 1860s by my great, great, great grandmother's brother, Alanzo Drew, The Shop was once where shoes were mended, stories were shared, and neighbors stopped by without knocking. It’s been in my family ever since, was a first home for my Great Grandparents, Iva and Maurice, and their baby boy, Lester. When I was a small child I visited with my Great Grandfather who enjoyed sitting in the open doorway of the shop in his rocking chair watching cars drive by while he listened to the Red Sox game on his portable radio, and ocassionally waving to friends as they drove by.
After decades of quiet, I felt the urge to breathe life back into it. Remove the clutter that was stored there over time, and create a place that isn't just a building, but the kind of place that invites the connection we’re all craving.
Today, The Shop holds space for small, intentional gatherings that support well-being, curiosity, and community. It’s not fancy. It’s not big. But it’s cozy, alive with history, and full of heart.
If you’re looking for a place to exhale, learn something new, or meet kindred spirits—you’re invited.
Warmly, Amy
